2 Days!!

Just a quick note to my family, This has nothing to do with our Las Vegas trip.
I can't wait. Only 2 days until my family is here for Thanksgiving! I'm so excited to have them visit us. We're going to have a blast doing all sorts of fun things. Dinner is going to be AMAZING, but I'm still going to miss my grandma's cooking. Hopefully she'll cook the same meal for Christmas. I can't wait!! We'll see you in 2 days!

Chocolate Pudding

In an effort to remain entertained while we're stuck inside, I've resorted to letting Hunter play with food. He thought it was the greatest thing ever. He ended up wearing a lot of the pudding, but he had a blast. We'll have to do this more frequently.

Do you like his haircut? He insisted that I cut it. It didn't turn out as bad as I thought it would, but it's going to take some practice.

TIME OUT!

Hunter has been spending more time than I'd like in the time out chair. As a result, he's decided that his bear should be there too. Luckily the bear is there A LOT more than he is. I'm trying to decide if this is a good or a bad thing.

Thank you Garrett!!

We got a package from Garrett for mine and Hunter's birthday. Hunter got this really cool jersey. I got an AMAZING watch! I'm so excited to get it fitted so I can actually wear it. Hunter loves his jersey. We found Orangina so I made Hunter hold it and we sent these pictures to Garrett to say thanks. We love you Elder Maxfield! Thanks so much!

Pa came to visit!

I just wanted to thank my dad for coming to visit us last night. He took us out to dinner and then read Hunter stories for close to an hour. I know he enjoyed seeing Pa, even if it was only for a few hours. Thank you! We miss you already!

Prop 8 is still ahead, but not offically passed.

I'm honestly kinda scared. Prop 8 has passed, at least that's what the experts are saying. This is the second time that California voters have voted on this issue. The voters have spoken, but that's not good enough for the gay activists. Now they are filing a law suit and "taking all measures" to make sure they get their "rights." They are boycoting the businesses that have donated to the Yes on Prop 8 cause. (Target) With a quick web search you can find the individuals who have donated. On one website it give name, phone, address, employer, how much they donated, and the date of the donation. (This is way too much information.) This makes most who donated easy targets. Some activists are even going as far as threatening members of the church as well as church buildings. These are the people who are asking for tollerance and equality. This is a quote I found off of an article on the world net daily website. I LOVE IT!! "Liberty Counsel's Barber said, "This is not free speech; these are 'hate crimes' under the existing definition. Imagine if Christian websites were advocating such violence against homosexuals. There'd be outrage, and rightfully so. It'd be national front-page news. Federal authorities should immediately investigate these threats and prosecute the perpetrators to the fullest extent of the law." I'm so sick of the double standard these people expect us to live. They beg for the very peace that they are taking away from Yes on Prop 8 supporters. People have their own agency, and that's why we are all here on this earth. I know that they'll get what's coming to them, but I worry all the time about going out now. I'm scared someone will see me dressed modestly and know that I'm a member of the church. I'm scared that I will be without Erik and someone will slash my tires, leaving me stranded. I know I can't live in fear, but when they make threats like this, "Be afraid. Be very afraid. We are everywhere." I can't help but be scared. I just hope the courts will actually be on our side this time. We've spoken twice. LET IT GO!!!

Bay Area Discovery Museum

I was looking on the internet for something for Hunter and me to do today and I found a children's museum that was free admission today. I called some of our friends and we drove almost to San Francisco to get there. We got lost on the way there, but it was fun driving around Sausalito. We drove through a tunnel that literally went through the middle of the mountain. We had to stop and ask for directions and we made it. They have an amazing toddler area of the museum. Hunter loved it! So did I. This park/museum is absolutely in the BEST part of town. I couldn't believe the view they have. You are literally under the Golden Gate Bridge and have an AMAZING view of the city. I forgot my camera, but as soon as I get the pictures e-mailed to me, I'll post them. Here are a couple pictures that I was able to find on the internet.

Absolutely FABULOUS!!!!!

Hunter's Birthday

For Hunter's birthday we spent the morning passing out flyers for Prop 8, and Hunter was a gem. He was so happy and didn't complain. Granted the DVD player in the car helped a lot!! Then we came home and had a quick lunch and a nap while Erik went to a study group. When Erik got home we went to Phil and Cindy's. We had a great dinner and then we played at Chuck E. Cheese's. Hunter had a blast and earned enough tickets for a little plastic snake and a silly straw.
After we went back to the house and Cindy bought some cupcakes for everyone. Hunter loved everyone singing to him and we had to sing twice.

He LOVED the frosting and wouldn't eat the actual cupcake, but all the frosting was licked clean off the cupcake.
