Easter 2011

This Easter was fun!
The Easter bunny was generous.
He left confetti eggs and they LOVED smashing them on their heads.

Then we were off to see my cousin Spencer at his ward, for his "homecoming" talk.
COOLEST. Ward. Ever.
They had an orchestra!!
Seriously people, an orchestra.
Violins, Violas, a Cello and a Bass.

Then we went to my grandma's for the annual easter egg hunt.
The kids hated waiting for everyone to show up so they could find all the eggs.

Mckinley caught on so quickly.

Waiting for the big prizes. . .

Yes, my family does hide eggs that high in the trees!

After the egg hunt and dinner, everyone, except the little kids, crashed.
It was an exhausting day.

And even though I didn't get pictures, Grandma and Grandpa Smith stopped by and brought the kids some goodies.

Heaven sent

Before I start this post, I want to be perfectly clear that I love ALL my kids.
They are AMAZING!! For the most part they are angels.
I wouldn't trade any of them for the world.

Since Madelynn has been born, I've received more than my share of help from family.
This has provided me lots of time to get to know her.
She's a perfect baby, except for wanting to be fed every two hours and sometimes less.

There are times when I look at her and I truly recognize her. I know she was mine before she joined our family on Earth. Throughout my pregnancy with her I was convinced that I was going to have a boy. Even after she was born and my mom told me that it was a girl, I couldn't believe it. I was having a boy, not a girl. But now that I've been able to spend so much time with her I know that she was supposed to be mine. And thanks to the priesthood power I know that she will be part of our family forever. It's so incredible to have the knowledge of eternity and that I will be with Erik, Hunter, Mckinley, and now Madelynn forever, and not just until death.

I love her smiles. Just can't wait until they are real.

A day at the park

Trying to catch up.
I have a feeling I will be playing this game for the next little while.

About a month ago we had a day nice enough to go to the park.
The kids had a great time and it was great to get outside.
