4 Generations at Disneyland

We had to get one last use out of our season passes before they expired.
My dad and grandma joined us.  We had a blast!

This has got to be the funniest picture. The longer you stare the funnier it gets.
Mckinley is excited and can hardly contain herself.
My grandma managed to cover her hair so she didn't get it wet.
The lady behind my grandma disappeared completely inside a trash bag...

Reno Air Races

Erik took the older two kids to Reno for the Air Races.

I wasn't there so I don't know everything that went on. But the pictures speak for themselves.

They got to spend the night in a hotel and eat dinner in bed.

Maddie-Mommy Date

Erik had taken the kids to Reno for the weekend for an air show (more to come).
So Madelynn and I got some good quality time together.

The circus was in town and we didn't hesitate to go.
I'm so glad we did!

She LOVED the clowns. They had a little magic show that she picked up on so quickly.
When we got home she managed to recreate the trick. I was shocked!!
Abracamonica!! (Her version of Abracadabra)

She was so ready for her nap, that she missed the last 15 mins of the show.

We went to dinner at Costa Vida.

We also went grocery shopping and she was such a helper.

Then we painted our nails.

It was a great day!

Labor Day Fun

This Labor Day we found our way to Rohnert Park to spend the long weekend with Erik's aunt and uncle.

We went to some redwoods and had a blast walking around the forest.

The next day we made our way out to Bodega Bay to the beach.
We had a blast and I went in a lot further than I had anticipated to try to get some sand dollars.

This is Tippi Hedren. Star of The Birds.
(She was charging a whopping $25 for a picture, so I had to be sneaky to get this one.)

First Day of School

So now that the year is well over half way done, I'm finally posting the first day of school.

Dang I have cute kids!

Lake Tahoe

Last Christmas as one of our gifts, Erik's parents gave the entire family a trip to Lake Tahoe, and we were finally able to go in August.

I think it's safe to say that the entire family enjoyed it, and we all want to do it again.

From the second we got there the kids had dug themselves into the sand, and we had a hard time getting them out of it.

The kids loved having their cousins all around them all the time.
If we're being honest, I miss them being that close too.

We rented paddle boards almost every morning we were there. The kids and adults loved them.

Hunter went "fishing." Somehow he caught this tiny fish.
Hunter was set on releasing it back into the wild, but sadly the poor thing didn't get the chance.

 They were almost inseparable.

We took a tour of the fire station. I think this was the highlight of the trip for the kids.

They got rides,

a turn to drive,

a chance to spray the fire hose,

a turn to push buttons,

and a turn to wear their gear.

These fire fighters were so friendly!! I'm glad they took time out of their day to show us around.
