On saturday we went to the Gateway to meet one of Erik's old mission companions. We just had some fun with the camera.

LIFE

Here Hunter got into my colored chapstick. I wanted to get mad, but look at that adorable face. I just couldn't. He just wants to be a big boy. I just laughed, and then he did too.

Hunter got to fingerpaint for the first time. He decided that the paper was no fun to paint on and moved to his stomach. I hope this doesn't lead to a future in lots of tattoos.

We had a blast when we went to Bear Lake with my dad's side of the family. We went sledding at a place called "The Sinks" in Logan Canyon. Hunter wasn't too sure of the snow at first, but he warmed up, and was soon running (as best as he could in a snow suit) all over the hill. We were lucky enough to get a ride up the hill on the snowmobiles when we went down.

I know these didn't turn out as well as I had hoped they would. He's just too fast for me and my camera. My brother got his mission call, I was hoping to get pictures of him to do an "I hope they call me on a mission" scrapbooking page, but i don't think that will be happening anytime soon.

By the way, my brother is going to the Paris France Mission.

For our date last weekend, we went shooting with Amanda and Jeremy. We had a blast and here are some pictures.

Amanda surprized us all and was a very good shot.

Sick, Sick, Sick

We've all been way sick. Hunter got both Erik and I sick. I've been over it, but Erik has really been hit hard this week. I know how he feels, and all he wants to do is sleep. I felt the same way. He's been working at both jobs this past week, so once we get the money, I know he'll appreciate the work, but now he's hating life. Hunter is now finally getting back to normal. He's has a really runny nose that we can't stop. We have a doctors appointment tomorrow morning, and I can only imagine where he sits on the growth charts. I'm hoping his growth is starting to slow down, but it feels like it never will. He's only 15 months, but in 24 month clothes. We can't afford keeping up with his growing. He's only in clothes for 4 to 5 months before he outgrows them. Anyone need some baby boys clothing? I've got enough to clothe a small army.
I just can't believe Becky (Mother in law)!! I know she's mad at me, but she's taking it out on Erik. She hasn't tried to call him at all since we had our little fight. Okay, so it wasn't little, it was huge, but still. What happened between her and I is between her and I. It's not Erik's fault that we don't get along. But I hope she realizes that she's only hurting herself. I really don't care if she constantly wants to throw herself a pitty party. I'm not going!! As long as she acts this way, she won't see Hunter. To be completely honest, I don't think he'll care for a few years if she's not in his life. My mom more than makes up for all of Becky's short comings, and she spoils him constantly. I know I won't ever be able to compete with her, and I'm his mom! I'll post some pictures shortly!

Pictures

So I thought I'd add some pictures of Hunter over the past few months. I would go back to when he was born, but there would be too many. Maybe one day, but not today.

Hunter eating licorice. We didn't know he had it.

This is Hunter in his grandpa's go kart. Grandpa wants him to race, but I don't know how I feel about that.

He stole my cantelope, and wouldn't let me eat any.

My Little Cowboy.

My little Pirate.
Getting a drink at the zoo.
The whole family at the zoo.

Grandma Maxfield and Hunter.
Opening his presents on his 1st birthday.

This is as messy as he got when we let him get into his cake. He just doesn't like to be messy!
Christmas morning, well, almost. We opened our things on Christmas Eve morning.

These are from before and after his first haircut. Who would have thought it would take 13 months to grow hair long enough to be cut.

Daddy made him his own smoothie. This is the only way we can get him to eat fruit.

School . . .

I decided to try a blog in addition to a website, and I'm not going to give this out to just everyone like I have our website. This is going to be a thing for me to keep up while we are away at school. A place for me to put my feelings, and be completely honest about what is going on. Check back for some crazy mother-in-law stories, because I'm sure even though I am not speaking to her at the moment, she'll do something completely insane, and piss me off again. For those of you who don't know, I have a completely CRAZY mother-in-law. I honestly don't think she has a brain! She never thinks of anyone but herself. And she might as well be 2 when it comes to her temper tantrums. I was unaware that the terrible 2's lasted in to a person's 50's before her.
Anyway, back to us. Erik was accepted to school on Tuesday, January 15 to Touro University in San Francisco, California. It's a lot closer than any of the other schools where he applied and interviewed. I know that my family will come and visit, and I can hope that most of Erik's family will not.
I'm excited and scared at the same time. I really think that getting away from our families will teach us to depend more on eachother, and not so much our parents, and for that same reason I'm really scared to move. I don't know how I'm going to be able to handle living that far away from all our family. No more Sunday nights at Grandma's with my cousins. I won't have some alone time to get away and be with some of my good friends, or have much of a chance to socialize. I'm scared for after Erik's done with school. We are going to be in so much debt, I can't even imagine. I don't want to be in debt for the rest of my life. I know that it's "okay" to go into debt for a house or school, but for all my life I've been trying to live within my means. It's going to be wierd to be living without any kind of income. I really hope I can find someone I can nanny for, or someother kind of job where I can work from home and not have to leave my dear Hunter at home.
